WildKat PR is delighted to introduce our new client pianist Catherine Gordeladze. Born in Georgia and currently based in Frankfurt, Gordeladze has been widely recognised and praised for her “sparkling tone”, “original, profound musicality” (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung), and her “charm, brilliant technique and great variety of tone colours” (Radio Bremen).
An outstanding soloist and much-sought-after chamber music partner, Catherine Gordeladze has played at major concert venues and with renowned orchestras including the Georgian State Orchestra, the Mainz Philharmonic State Orchestra, the Europa Philharmonie and the Dortmund Philharmonic. Gordeladze has won awards in various competitions, including the International Chopin Piano Competition in Darmstadt and was honored with the medal of the French Legion of Honour. In addition to her concert engagements she teaches at the College of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main.
Her current album American Rhapsody, released by BELLA MUSICA/ANTES EDITION in 2014 and featuring piano works by American composers, immediately won the silver and bronze medals in the instrumental performance solo/album category of the renowned Global Music Award in the USA. The CD was specially recommended by the German online magazine klassik.com and radio station hr2 kultur.
WildKat PR is excited to be working on her upcoming album, “Dance Fantasies”, which will be released in May 2017 on BELLA MUSICA/ANTES EDITION. The album feature dance pieces from the classical repertoire, both original versions as well as arrangements, from Rameau, Chopin, Carl Czerny and Fritz Kreisler.
