In today’s classical news, The Royal Academy of Music has appointed 2 new visiting professors, cellist Steven Isserlis and pianist Bengt Forsberg. To commemorate the 125th anniversary of the birth of composer Sergei Prokofiev, the renowned Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra gave a concert on Thursday, which was captured in 360° video. Also, American conductor Kent Nagano officially launched an ambitious educational project called ‘La musique aux enfants’ in Montreal.
