WildKat PR welcomes new music collective, Corre.

We are very happy to be working with Corre on their upcoming singles and album releases. ‘A Spark, A Beginning’ and ‘Proceed’ will be released on streaming sites on Wednesday 2nd August 2017.

Corre formed earlier in 2017 and aims to bridge the gap between electronica and classical music with a contemporary synthesis of light, movement and sound. The unnamed collaborators behind Corre wanted to create a multi-media, cross-genre alliance, inspired by the likes of Nils Frahm and Max Richter. With a background in electronic music, Corre’s composer was inspired by the possibility that the two seemingly contrasting elements of electronic and contemporary classical music could coalesce.

To create the fusion of natural and synthetic sounds, Corre uses Korg-created synthesiser loops paired with traditional, acoustic instruments such as violin, piano and classical guitar. The visual element takes naturalistic photography and melds it with digital manipulation and overlays to create modern and visually stunning films.

The two singles will be released on 2nd August, with a video premiere of ‘A Spark, A Beginning’ to follow.

Venue and Arts hub Trinity Buoy Wharf is hosting a collaborative exhibition called ‘Synthesis’ which will take place tonight, the 13th February. It will be a mixed-media exhibition including pieces by Boy George. Better known as a DJ and international musician, Boy George will be showcasing his other creative talents as part of ‘Synthesis’ which is taking place in the Electrician’s Shop Gallery.

When speaking about the passion he has for his screen prints and photography, Boy George said: “photography is a way of capturing the past and the moment and redesigning it. I like the Hollywood approach to glamour. The camera tells great big lies and I love to make people look how they dream themselves to be”

There are 12 other artists taking part including John Humphreys, a sculptor who has studied with the Royal Academy and has shown work around the globe bringing a twist of vision and a fresh approach to his practice, a much respected artist who is always forward thinking.

The exhibition is a free event and is on tonight between 6.30pm – 9.30pm at Trinity Buoy Wharf, 64 Orchard Place, London, E14 0JY.
