Academy of Ancient Music is collaborating with Mid Wales Opera and Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama on MWO’s tour in Wales. Die Wiener Staatsoper meldet für die Saison 2013/14 einen neuen Einnahmen- und Besucherrekord. Laut Staatsoperndirektor Dominique Meyer wurde eine Summe von 33.509.761 Euro erzielt, was eine leichte Steigerung gegenüber dem Vorjahr (33.060.588 Euro) darstellt. Auch die Besucherzahlen stiegen von 599.525 in der Saison 2012/13 auf nun 603.652 Gäste, was einer Auslastung von 99,0 Prozent entspricht.

BT to add music service to TV offerings

BT is to launch a music streaming and karaoke service backed by the world’s largest music company, Universal Music. The service will initially offer the equivalent of about 150 albums of music tracks, which subscribers can listen to through their BT TV service.
