The Korean Cultural Center is the cultural department of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Germany, headquartered in Berlin under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea (MCST). Its aim is to promote Korean culture and facilitate cultural exchanges to introduce and spread interest in diverse aspects of Korean culture.
The Center offers permanent and alternating exhibitions in their own premises, such as the Gallery damdam or at external exhibition spaces where it organises many events and courses under the categories of arts, music, literature and film, and in this way, creates an active place for cultural mediation.
In the fields of arts, design and music, popular events and programmes by the Korean Cultural Center include Young Korean Talents, the JazzKorea Festival and their participation as official guest country at Grassimesse 2018 in Leibzig.
One of the recent projects we successfully collaborated on was the Korean Interdisciplinary Arts Festival ‘Non-Sense Music’ in Berlin, for which we secured a prominent half-page feature on the front page of Berliner Zeitung’s Feuilleton pages, event listings in Tagesspiegel, TIP and Zitty and in a variety of Berlin’s most read arts blogs such Berlin Art Link and Awesome Berlin.
