Les Apaches is a variable-geometry instrumental ensemble created and directed by conductor Julien Masmondet. The ensemble’s aim is to create and present shows that combine works from the repertoire with creations by contemporary composers on contemporary themes, bringing together artists from a wide range of backgrounds: composers, singers, directors, writers, poets, video artists, dancers, actors, architects and free-runners.
Les Apaches is looking at new ways of presenting music: how do you get people to hear and discover today’s music outside the usual cultural venues? This question has led the ensemble to come up with new artistic projects: some designed for the stage (Street Art), others outside the walls to travel around and set up in public spaces (the Ça vous dérange? project).
WildKat Paris is thrilled to work with Les Apaches on their project Street Art which will take place at the Musée d’Orsay in February 2024.
