Music for Youth

Charity

Music for Youth is a national education charity believing in the power of music to transform young people’s lives, and they run high-impact performance based festivals and events all over the UK for over 60,000 young people under 21 each year. Established in 1970, Music for Youth will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2020 with a number of high-profile events and new strategic developments.

MFY has a unique role in that no other organisation delivers large-scale performance events for young people on a national basis, which is inclusive of the full range of music types and performing groups. 91% of participants come from state schools, and participation in their events is free.

Their “season” starts with 50 Regional Festivals that take place in venues right across the UK between January and April including Music for Youth Proms, New Music Stage and the Festival Fringe.

WildKat PR are working on the marketing and PR leading towards the charity’s 50th anniversary in 2020.
