Huge donation set to make the Royal Danish Opera great again
An unspecified donation has been made to the Royal Danish Opera of ‘hundreds of millions’ of kroner – tens of millions of UK pounds – by the AP Møller Foundation. The grant will be used to strengthen the company’s core repertoire, to offer discount tickets for younger and older patrons, and to assist with the Copenhagen Opera House’s sizeable infrastructure, heating and lighting costs.
