In today’s classical news, applications are now open for the 9th Sound and Music’s Summer School, which will take place from 30th July to 5th August this year. Violinist Ray Chen, former 1st prize winner at the Yehudi Menuhin and Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competitions, signs with Decca Classics. Renowned violinist and conductor Pinchas Zukerman will open New Jersey Symphony Orchestra’s three-concert Winter Festival 2017, with a program of works by Tchaikovsky and Mendelssohn from January 13th to 15th.
