Dame Vivienne Westwood and Andreas Kronthaler have designed new jackets for the ladies of the Monteverdi Choir to wear at future performances. Developed by the Vivienne Westwood couture team, the Wrap jacket was designed to create a formal yet feminine silhouette.

The Edinburgh international festival has been criticised for offering refunds for a new production of Così fan tutte before the opera has opened. Christophe Honoré’s version of the Mozart opera opened the Aix-en-Provence festival in France last month and will play at the Festival theatre in the Scottish capital in late August.

Das Münchner Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz hat eine positive Bilanz der vergangenen Spielzeit gezogen. Die Besucherzahl konnte eigenen Angaben zufolge trotz der Umbauphase der angestammten Spielstätte und des dadurch bedingten Ausweichens auf andere Aufführungsorte, etwa das Cuvilliéstheater, den Max-Joseph-Saal, die Reithalle sowie das Prinzregenten- und Akademietheater, gesteigert werden.
