NYCGB launches search for first chief executive
The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain are launching a search for their first ever chief executive. The new position was created in response to the organisation’s rapid growth over the past few years. Since 2012, NYCGB has gained ACE National Portfolio status, launched Widening Access & Engagement partnerships with music hubs in Cornwall, Cumbria and Nottinghamshire, and established the NYCGB fellowship programme.
Wigmore Hall announces 2017/18 season
Wigmore Hall’s 2017/18 season will include residencies from Isabelle Faust, Christian Tetzlaff, Sir András Schiff, Jörg Widmann and Sonia Prina. The season will include a 17-concert survey of Haydn’s string quartets with the Castalian, Doric, Heath and Schumann string quartets, including all of Haydn’s quartets from the Opus 20s onwards, and the Cuarteto Casals will present a complete cycle of Beethoven’s string quartets, alongside new works by living composers.
