Pianist tackles ‘shocking state’ of school music lessons

It is likely that pianist James Rhodes will be a face that you see a lot in the coming week, ahead of his Channel 4 show Don’t Stop The Music which starts on Tuesday 9th September at 9pm. Having read the National Music Plan and considered ways to achieve it despite severely limited funds in many schools, James will promote an instrument amnesty, whereby he urges those who no longer play their instruments to donate them, to enable less affluent children to make music.
