Sonya Yoncheva to sing Norma at ROH

Sonya Yoncheva will sing the title role in the Royal Opera House’s production of Bellini’s Norma.The Bulgarian soprano will replace Anna Netrebko, who announced her withdrawal from the role last week.

Yehudi Menuhin School raising funds for the violinist’s centenary

Artist Geraldine van Heemstra will exhibit work created during her artist residency at the Yehudi Menuhin School in June and July, with all proceeds going to the School’s centenary fundraising appeal.

Boléro: Heirs Ask For Copyright Extension

After seventy years of protection, Ravel’s Boléro is a work of public domain since 1 May 2016, and performers do not have to pay rights anymore. Yesterday however, the heirs asked for an extension of the copyright for 20 years.

Moritz Eggert für den Deutschen Musikautorenpreis nominiert
