In today’s news, Daniel Harding is named the new music director of the Orchestre de Paris, the Bayreuth Wagner Festival is becoming more of a soap opera than a classical opera and the Spectator states that dressing up for the opera is not elitist. Furthermore, Lisa Milne has announced she will be quitting the main stage and devoting the rest of her career to teaching, Giacomo Puccini’s ‘Tosca’ is being performed in the Israeli Masada National Park and Thomas Hengelbrock will be Chef associé at the Orchestre de Paris from 2016.
