Asi Matathias
ViolinistViolinist Asi Matathias is one of the most celebrated talents of his generation. He made his debut at the age of fourteen with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Zubin Mehta, who was so taken by the musical maturity and inspiration of the young violinist, that he invited him back for the coming season. Since then, Matathias completed his studies at Universtität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna and Manhattan School of Music. His international concerts and recordings were broadcast on BBC, CBC, WQXR, IBA and ORF and he performed at prestigious venues such as the Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall in New York, Izumity 21 Hall in Sendai, Japan and The National Arts Center in Ottawa. He currently studies with Pinchas Zukerman in New York.
