In today’s news, the Seattle Symphony has announced their concert, Music Beyond Borders, and the 2017 London Handel Festival celebrates the composer as a European in London. The ISM publishes a guide for musicians to fight performance anxiety, and Lang Lang signs with Universal. American Composers Orchestra will celebrate Steve Reich’s 80th birthday with a performance of his Tehillim during the season, while Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra announces the appointment of 23 year old Armenian-born cellist Gayane Khachatryan as their new Assistant Principal Cellist.
