Berliner Meisterschallplatten is an independent record label based in Berlin. Founded in 2014 by Rainer Maillard and Stephan Flock, the label focuses not on a particular style of music but on a particular way of recording it. Their direct-to-disc method is a unique approach, recording everything live in one take – no cutting, no mastering, no shortcuts.

Berliner Meisterschallplatten have collaborated with a number of artists, such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Ruth Palmer, Joscho Stephan Trio or the Friedrich Liechtenstein Trio. All artists must be prepared to record their repertoire in one straight session, that creates a special atmosphere to be heard in all recordings.

WildKat PR is working on a campaign to expand the recognition of both the label itself and the label’s artists.
