Broadcaster, composer and writer Jack Pepper takes up new ambassadorial role

Music for Youth (MFY) has today announced that the highly-regarded broadcaster Jack Pepper will be its latest ambassador, just ahead of the charity’s upcoming 50^th birthday.

As an Ambassador for MFY, Jack will help to raise the profile of the charity and support its events, while working to advocate its values of community, diversity, and youth music engagement. Jack’s role will take effect at the Music For Youth Proms this November, where he will host ‘Spotlight On: New Music’, a special free concert showcasing original compositions by young performers.

At just 20-years-old Jack is known for his work on Scala Radio, where he presents Jack Pepper’s Culture Bunker. Jack also writes a monthly column for Classical Music Magazine, and has written for The Telegraph, BBC Music Magazine and Gramophone. Additionally, Jack’s compositions have been performed on Classic FM and the BBC.

For nearly 50 years MFY has provided life-changing music experiences such as free workshops and live events for young people, everywhere across the UK. As music continues to be stripped from schools MFY is designed to allow everyone to get involved and inspired – regardless of music genre or their postcode.
