Alors que les seuls clusters avérés dans le cadre des pratiques musicales concernent les chœurs, la Chambre Syndicale de la pratique instrumentale, l’Institut technologique européen des métiers de la musique et les Forces musicales rendent publique une synthèse de l’ensemble des études menées au niveau mondial, qui actualise également les préconisations afin de continuer à chanter en sécurité. Nous en livrons en exclusivité les premières conclusions.
Depuis le début de l’épidémie de Covid 19, aucun cluster de contamination ne paraît s’être formé au sein d’un ensemble instrumental, même parmi les orchestres comportant des pupitres d’harmonie, un temps suspectés de constituer une source potentielle de propagation du virus. Certaines productions lyriques mises en scène, qui avaient repris sous haute surveillance à la rentrée, ont pu être interrompues suite à la détection de cas positifs et de cas contact. Elles n’ont pourtant pas généré de cluster au sens littéral, dans la mesure où il ne s’est pas créé de chaîne de contamination au sein des équipes artistiques, y compris entre les solistes, pourtant appelés à renoncer aux gestes barrière par les exigences du jeu d’acteur.
How can choral singing be secured against Covid-19?
While the only proven clusters in musical practices concern choirs, the Chambre Syndicale de la pratique instrumentale, the European Technological Institute for Music Professions and the Musical Forces have published a synthesis of all the studies conducted worldwide, which also updates the recommendations in order to continue to sing in safety. The first conclusions of these studies are available exclusively.
Since the beginning of the Covid-19 epidemic, no cluster of contamination appears to have formed within an instrumental ensemble, even among orchestras with soundboards, for a time suspected of constituting a potential source of propagation of the virus. Some staged opera productions, which had resumed under high surveillance at the beginning of the school year, were interrupted following the detection of positive and contact cases. However, they did not generate a cluster in the literal sense, insofar as no chain of contamination was created within the artistic teams, including between the soloists, who were nevertheless called upon to abandon barrier gestures due to the demands of acting.
Brandbrief soll Hilfe für Kulturszene sichern
Mit einem dringenden Appell an ihre Länderkollegen hat sich Kulturstaatsministerin Monika Grütters für die Beibehaltung der geplanten Hilfen für Soloselbstständige aus der Kulturszene eingesetzt. Die CDU-Politikerin wirbt in einem Brief dafür, die Regelungen für die Betroffenen wie auf Bundesebene geplant umzusetzen.
Es ist essenziell und wird, wie Sie wissen, im gesamten Kulturbereich erwartet, dass diese Regelung in dieser Form jetzt so kommt, heißt es in dem der Deutschen Presse-Agentur in Berlin vorliegenden Schreiben.Nach der Vereinbarung können Soloselbstständige wie Künstler oder Musiker für die coronabedingten Einschränkungen im November eine Förderung von bis zu 5000 Euro direkt und ohne bürokratischen Aufwand beantragen. Erst jenseits dieser Grenze ist ein Steuerberater notwendig.
Damit gebe es jetzt «endlich eine eigene Förderung speziell für Soloselbstständige», betonte Grütters. Eine solche Regelung wird von Betroffenen und Verbänden sowie einigen Kulturministern der Länder seit Beginn der Krise im März gefordert. Freischaffende Künstler konnten bisher etwa keinen fiktiven Unternehmerlohn geltend machen und sind so auf die eigens geöffnete Grundsicherung Hartz IV angewiesen.
Urgent reminder to secure help for the cultural scene
In an urgent appeal to her colleagues in the federal states, the Minister of State for Culture, Monika Grütters, advocated the retention of the planned aid for solo self-employed persons from the cultural scene. In a letter, the CDU politician advocates implementing the regulations for those affected as planned at federal level.
“It is essential and, as you know, is expected in the entire cultural sector that this regulation in this form now comes about,” says the letter, which has been submitted to the German Press Agency in Berlin.According to the agreement, solo self-employed persons such as artists or musicians can apply for a grant of up to 5,000 euros directly and without bureaucratic effort for the corona-related restrictions in November.
Only beyond this limit is a tax consultant necessary. This means that there is now “finally a separate subsidy especially for solo self-employed persons”, Grütters emphasized. Such regulation has been called for by those affected and associations as well as by some of the Länder ministers of culture since the beginning of the crisis in March. Freelance artists have not yet been able to claim a fictitious entrepreneur’s salary, for example, and are thus dependent on the specially opened Hartz IV basic provision.
