Yerevan Youth Symphony Orchestra
OrchestraThe Yerevan Youth Symphony Orchestra is one of the newest ensembles on the international stage, founded in 2023 in Armenia’s capital. Despite its young age, the orchestra embodies the country’s rich musical heritage and reflects a thriving culture of music education that empowers the next generation of artists.
Led by conductor Sergey Smbatyan – already recognised internationally for his inspiring work, including at Young Euro Classic in Berlin in 2025 – the orchestra combines youthful energy with high artistic ambition. Its programming reflects this vision: bringing masterpieces of the classical canon into dialogue with celebrated works from Armenia’s own musical tradition.
Through performance, collaboration, and cultural exchange, the Yerevan Youth Symphony Orchestra offers young Armenian musicians a platform to grow as artists and as ambassadors of their country’s creativity. The ensemble’s mission is not only to achieve musical excellence, but to strengthen international understanding and to open doors for a new generation of musicians to thrive in a global context.
