Telekom Beethoven Competition
The Telekom Beethoven Competition is an internationally renowned piano competition that has been held every two years since 2005 in Beethoven’s birthplace, Bonn. It is open to pianists aged 18 to 32 and offers young talents an international platform to showcase their skills and build lasting careers.
Organised by Deutsche Telekom AG in cooperation with Internationale Beethovenfeste Bonn gGmbH, the competition stands for the highest artistic excellence and international appeal. The artistic director and jury president is Prof. Pavel Gililov, who decides on the entries together with a high-calibre jury of internationally renowned pianists, musicians, educators and university professors. The members bring a wide range of artistic experience and impressive careers to the table, giving the jury its special diversity.
In addition to the competition concerts – including chamber music and orchestra finals with the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn – former prize winners who have long since pursued international careers will also perform. The competition thus creates a unique connection between young talent and established artists.
The 2025 edition will take place in Bonn from 4 to 13 December. Visitors can look forward to four public concerts featuring the finalists and former prize winners. A special highlight this year is the orchestra final on 13 December: for the first time, the internationally acclaimed Ukrainian conductor Oksana Lyniv will conduct the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn. Caleb Borick, winner of the 1st prize in 2023, will also perform in the welcome concert.
With its blend of tradition, promotion of young talent and global reach, the Telekom Beethoven Competition is a significant driving force in international music life and will once again make a strong impact in 2025 with outstanding talents and exciting artistic encounters.
WildKat is excited to partner with the Telekom Beethoven Competition in a PR and marketing campaign.
