Wildkat PR is delighted to welcome In Harmony Telford and Stoke, the community music-making programme that inspires and engages young people and their families, to our client roster.
In Harmony Telford and Stoke is a three-year programme of music making in the communities of Malinslee, Telford and Heron Cross, Stoke. Their project works directly with 770 young people and their families to put music at the heart of local communities. It is also a partnership between the City of Birmingham Symphony orchestra, Manchester Camerata, Telford & Wrekin Music and City Music Service, Stoke who provide inspiring teachers and performers to work directly with the children and families in schools involved.
In Harmony keep a blog which aims to keep parents and the wider school community up to date with all their activities. There is a digital learning strand which enables children from both schools to share their feelings and develop learning partnerships, which will bridge the geographical distance between the connected schools. This is aided by resources such as instrument care sheets available online, and suitable methods of carrying instruments like specialised backpacks.
In Harmony seeks a spirit of connection and aims to enhance musical enjoyment for children, assists in fast wholesome progress, encourages success and achievement, and generally promotes positive wellbeing for children and families.
WildKat PR is working with In Harmony to communicate their important stories and present their key performances throughout the programme.
Follow the In Harmony blog on their website to find out more and get updates via Facebook and Twitter.
