Tickets for the four public concerts of the internationally renowned competition in Bonn have been available since 6 September. This year, the Telekom Beethoven Competition will once again feature a total of four concerts, where audiences can experience this year’s finalists and previous prize winners live and up close. A special highlight: for the first time, Ukrainian conductor Oksana Lyniv will lead the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn. She will conduct the orchestra final on 13 December.
The following concerts are available for purchase:
4 December, 7 p.m. – Welcome Concert, Telekom Headquarters with Caleb Borick (1st prize 2023)
12 December, 7 p.m. – Chamber Music Final, Telekom Headquarters (with finalists and the Beethoven Trio Bonn)
13 December, 7 p.m. – Orchestra Final, Telekom Forum (with finalists and the Beethoven Orchestra conducted by Oksana Lyniv)
14 December, 12 noon – Matinee, Beethoven House
This year’s main round begins on 4 December and ends on 13 December with the announcement of the winner. From 5 to 10 December, there will be free admission to all rounds of the competition. In addition, the entire competition can be followed worldwide via livestream.
The Telekom Beethoven Competition is a biannual competition for pianists aged 18 to 32 and was first held in 2005 in Ludwig van Beethoven’s birthplace, Bonn. The Telekom Beethoven Competition is organised by Deutsche Telekom AG, in cooperation with Internationale Beethovenfeste Bonn gGmbH since 2012. The main aim of the Telekom Beethoven Competition is to promote young professional artists and offer them an international platform. The artistic director and jury president is Pavel Gililov. The competition entries are evaluated by a jury of nine internationally renowned pianists, musicians, educators and piano professors from leading universities. The jury is chaired by jury president and artistic director Prof. Pavel Gililov. The members bring a wide range of artistic experience and impressive careers to the jury, giving it its special diversity.
