Annie Lydford has taken up a newly created position of Head of Press at WildKat PR. Annie previously worked in the press office at English National Opera, leading on creative press and publicity campaigns for operas, performances and events across the ENO season.
At WildKat, Annie will provide strategic direction to the team of London Account Managers and will work closely with the Berlin and New York offices to further develop the communication plans and possibilities for WildKat’s broad range of clients in the UK and worldwide. She will also manage the campaigns of specific clients.
Kathleen Alder, Founder and Director of WildKat PR commented:
“We welcome Annie with open arms to our WildKat family and are very excited for her to add her experience to our youthful and dynamic team. Annie shares our passion for innovation and enjoys working beyond the remit of traditional PR to create more exciting and diverse campaigns. I was particularly impressed by the wide-ranging ideas that she demonstrated in her work at English National Opera and Warner Bros. Records, and the energy that she brings to every campaign she works on.
“Like many of our WildKat team, Annie is also an active musician and performer, drawing on this essential knowledge and experience to better understand and respond to the needs and requirements of our clients. We pride ourselves in hiring individuals at early stages in their careers, providing them with the opportunity to successfully grow and develop within the company.
“Annie joins the company at a time where WildKat is expanding and developing its offering beyond the traditional marketing and PR remit, becoming an agency with a true 21st century, multi-continent approach.”
Annie Lydford commented:
“WildKat PR is such an innovative and progressive agency, constantly exploring new and exciting ways to share and develop the work of the artists that it represents. Through partnerships, collaborations, social media and new technology, WildKat develops audiences and expands upon the possibilities of traditional press work. I am very excited to be given the opportunity to be part of such a forward-thinking team and look forward to the future very much.”
