Deutscher Pianistenpreis kürt Gewinner
Der südkoreanische Pianist Hans Suh hat den 8. Deutschen Pianistenpreis gewonnen. Suh nahm den mit 20.000 Euro dotieren Preis von Maryam Maleki, der Präsidentin des International Piano Forum, und dem Vorjahresgewinner Eric Lu entgegen. Der Publikumspreis, welcher mit 3.000 Euro dotiert ist, ging an Tomoki Sakata aus Japan.

International Opera Awards nach München und Frankfurt
Die Bayerische Staatsoper hat bei den International Opera Awards den Preis als bestes Opernhaus gewonnen. Das teilten die Veranstalter am Montagabend in London mit. Die Oper Frankfurt wurde für die Wiederentdeckung von Ernst Kreneks “Drei Opern” ausgezeichnet. Ihr Intendant Bernd Loebe erhielt den Preis in der Kategorie “Leadership in Opera”.
