Tonight Augustin Dumay is performing at the Theatre des Champs-Elysees in Paris. He is launching his new disc Franck and Strauss Violin Sonatas with a performance with pianist Louis Lortie. This new release is part of an extensive catalogue of recordings, as both a violinist and conductor, which Augustin will release over the next few years with Onyx. Highlights of his upcoming recording schedule include Bartok’s 2nd Violin Concerto with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and Kent Nagano, Mozart’s Great Sonatas with Maria João Pires and Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra which he will also perform at Carnegie Hall in New York.
