Beares Auctions launches perpetual auction

Tuesday 23rd February 2016

Today, boutique online auction house, Beares Auctions launches its Moto Perpetuo platform. This perpetual online service adapts the traditional process of auctioning instruments, once or twice a year, to the fast-paced,
technology- focused world. This exciting new project is set to completely modernise the auction industry.

The new process eliminates the restrictions of the confining consignment period, providing a 24/7 service and a constant selection of fine instruments and bows. Buyers are able to view auction items online, they can also drop in anytime to view and try them in person at J &
A Beare.

Beares Auctions are the originators of ‘Buy Now’ in the fine instrument auction world and remain committed to providing the most accessible and up to date platforms for their sellers and buyers. Each spectacular instrument or bow is treated individually with its own auction period and individual rating
system.

Furthermore, there is a new ratings system for each lot; instruments are judged by experts and consultants according to
specified criteria and an innovative price guide for each lot, this includes past auction records and fair retail prices. Transparent and honest guidance also means that the buyer is aware of the true value of the item. Finally, Beares Auctions enjoys a relationship with instrument insight expert Peter Ratcliff who provides a dendrochronological service to accurately date and tell the story behind select instruments.
