Wiener Staatsoper meldet Einnahmen- und Besucherrekord
Die Wiener Staatsoper meldet für die Saison 2013/14 einen neuen Einnahmen- und Besucherrekord. Laut Staatsoperndirektor Dominique Meyer wurde eine Summe von 33.509.761 Euro erzielt, was eine leichte Steigerung gegenüber dem Vorjahr (33.060.588 Euro) darstellt. Auch die Besucherzahlen stiegen von 599.525 in der Saison 2012/13 auf nun 603.652 Gäste, was einer Auslastung von 99,0 Prozent entspricht.

Heute feiert die Mezzosopranistin, Regisseurin und Intendantin Brigitte Fassbaender ihren 75. Geburtstag. Seit ihrem Bühnendebüt 1961 gehört sie zu den international renommierten Interpretinnen von Partien von Mozart bis Richard Strauss.
