CantoMundi
International exhibition of Early Music instrumentsCantoMundi is an exhibition of old and traditional music will be held on 3, 4 and 5 October 2025.
For three days, on 3, 4 and 5 October, the world of early and traditional music will be coming together in Gennevilliers to showcase little-known expertise. Luthiers and instrument makers, concert performers, lecturers and professionals from the world of early and traditional music await a wide and varied audience at this free event, open to all, at the Salle des Fêtes and the Edgard Varèse Conservatoire in Gennevilliers.
On the programme: lectures, debates, concerts, presentations and sales of period instruments.
CantoMundi 2025 is designed to be a major international exhibition of early music instruments. Combining the creation, production, manufacture and restoration of instruments through the mastery of traditional gestures and techniques, it will bring together musicians in search of their instrument with the freshness of a local public who will discover an unsuspected musical world.
Gennevilliers will soon be home to the future Centre des métiers d’art, within the famous Écuries de Richelieu, and it’s with this in mind that the CantoMundi 2025 show is taking up residence in the town’s Salle des Fêtes, welcoming around a hundred exhibitors this year for three days of sharing and exhibitions.
For the initiated and the curious, CantoMundi 2025 is also an opportunity to delve into a little-known medieval and Renaissance repertoire via a programme of daily conferences combining History, Science and World Music.
Throughout the three days of the Show, the public will also have the chance to meet some unique talent at concerts at the Conservatoire and elsewhere in the city, open stages offered by exhibitors, and musical walks.
Last but not least, the atmosphere is sure to be warm at a Renaissance Ball open to all on Saturday evening in the Plaza Maria Casares (or, in case of bad weather, in a covered venue). It’s a great opportunity to bring out those old instruments and show them off to as many people as possible!
WildKat is thrilled to accompany CantoMundi for its PR in 2025!
