Classical Movements

Classical Movements is a premier touring agency for choirs, who have arranged for five choirs to tour the UK between March and July 2019. These choirs are Phillips Exeter Academy Choir, Yale Glee Club, Morgan State University Choir, Encore Chorale and San Francisco Girls Chorus.

Phillips Exeter Academy is an independent school’s premiere choral ensemble, with a 45-member mixed concert choir. They perform a wide range of choral music and also perform premiers of works by student and alumni composers. We are working with them ahead of their Oxford concert, where their repertoire will consist of Tarik O’Regan’s Triptych and powerful choral anthems including Purcell’s Hear My Prayer, O Lord.

Yale Glee Club was established in 1861 and is the oldest musical organisation at the world-renowned university. We are working with the choir ahead of their London concert, which they are doing in collaboration with The Choir With No Name. Their tour repertoire will include popular UK work; Barber’s Agnus Dei, traditional North American music such as Bernstein’s Somewhere (from West Side Story) and traditional Yale songs.

Morgan State University is a prestigious university choir who were personally invited by Michelle Obama in 2015 to sing traditional gospel music in a televised performance at The White House. Their tour in May will include a performance at The Gresham Centre.

Encore Chorale is a choir with only one requirement; that you are over 55! This non-audition, professionally led choir provides a fun environment for older adults to improve their musicality and make new friends.

San Francisco Girl’s Chorus is a choir for girls aged between 4 and 18. This choir is of the highest artistic calibre and is directed  by Valérie Sainte-Agathe.

Our services for Classical Movements include marketing and securing press coverage ahead of each of the concerts.
