The Compagnie Outre Mesure brings together musicians, dancers, actors, researchers, instrument makers and technicians to form a veritable orchestra in the original sense of the term (music for the danced parts of ballets).

The Compagnie, an early music, early dance and early theatre ensemble, specializes in the Renaissance repertoire. This was the period between the Middle Ages and the Baroque, when concerts, balls, masquerades, interludes and other magnificences were considered to be fine arts.
