Jean-Philippe Rio-Py, known professionally as RIOPY and JPRP, was born in France and was drawn to music from a young age, having begun playing the piano from the age of two. He spent two years writing and playing the piano around the nightclubs of Paris before moving to England. Whilst studying music, Jean-Philippe played regularly around Oxford in such prestigious venues as the Jacqueline du Pré building.

Upon graduation he signed a 10-track deal with Cutting Edge / Air Edel (the UK’s leading independent music company in film, television and advertising) and performed in the Conservatory of the Royal Opera House. His second album was released in 2012. Engagements included playing live at the exclusive club, The Box in Soho.
