The 2014/15 season was one of new encounters and of reaffirming established musical relationships for Lionel Bringuier as he assumed his position as Chief Conductor and Music Director of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich. Throughout the inaugural season he conducted a series of concerts in the orchestra’s home as well as an extensive European tour with Artist in Residence Yuja Wang, also performing works by the orchestra’s Creative Chair Esa-Pekka Salonen.

Bringuier returned to guest-conduct several orchestras, including the Bamberg Symphony, Sydney Symphony and Cleveland Orchestras, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, plus the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León, of which he was Music Director from 2009 to 2012.
