Standing as one of the world’s finest contemporary music ensembles with a reputation built on cutting-edge programming and virtuosic performances, The London Sinfonietta was founded in 1968, and have since commissioned nearly 450 new works, and premiered many hundreds more.

They place the best contemporary classical music at the heart of today’s culture, engaging and challenging the public through inspiring performances of the highest standard and taking risks to develop new work and talent.

This Winter/Spring season for 2023-24 will include the continuation of its digital concert programme, as well as being a Resident Orchestra at the Southbank Centre and Artistic Associate at Kings Place, along with a busy touring schedule across the UK and abroad.
