Matthew Sharp

Cellist

Matthew Sharp is known as an artist who is not afraid of taking risks and exploring new artistic paths. This attitude is reflected in his world premiere recording of Hans Gál’s “Concertino for Cello and Strings”, played by Matthew himself and the English Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Kenneth Woods. Since WildKat has already worked with Matthew on establishing his profile in the UK, we used the new CD release to introduce him to the German and Austrian classical music industry.

We created a strategy that focused on reviews and airplays of the CD to introduce Matthew to new audiences and to engage new listeners. We also introduced his music to the jury of the “Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik”, which is one of the most important annual prices for achievements in recorded music.
