Music at Oxford
International Concert SeriesMusic at Oxford is an exceptional international concert series that puts on an eclectic array of high-quality events year-round. Founded in 1983, they have brought world-renowned musicians to the inspiring spaces in and around Oxford for 40 years now. In this time, the series has garnered an impressive performance history: the world premiere of composer and singer Roderick Williams’ first ever opera, the celebratory centenary concert of Benjamin Britten’s birth with the English Chamber Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic’s famed annual ‘Europa Konzert’ at the Sheldonian Theatre.
Last year, WildKat supported Music at Oxford’s ARVO PÄRT… and a Littlemore Festival, the biggest celebration of the music of Arvo Pärt to take place in the UK. We obtained a variety of coverage for the festival, including a feature in Classical Music Magazine by Simon Mundy, performance previews of festival concerts on Radio 3’s In Tune with Louis Lortie, and a 4-star review in The Telegraph.
This year, as Music at Oxford turns 40 years old, we look forward to supporting the series again for its 40th Anniversary Season.
