Parveen Savart
SopranoParveen Savart began her musical journey studying the violin before turning to opera singing. She trained at the Maîtrise of Radio France, then at the CRR of Paris, and finally at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris in the class of Élène Golgévit. She honed her craft with guidance from renowned artists such as Nathalie Stutzmann, Anne Sofie von Otter, and Inva Mula, and received support from several foundations, including the Fondation de France, SAFRAN, ADAMI, and Les Frivolités Parisiennes. On stage, she has portrayed a wide range of roles from baroque to contemporary opera: Eurydice (Offenbach), Sigismondo (Handel), the Fairy (Massenet), Miss Jessel (Britten), and Micaëla (Bizet). She has performed in prestigious venues such as the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Philharmonie de Paris, and the Salzburg Festival, under the baton of conductors like Maxime Pascal and Marc Korovitch.
Highly active in recital, Parveen Savart has a particular affinity for French mélodie and Russian repertoire, which she explores with pianists including Gaspard Thomas and Natallia Yeliseyeva. She has appeared in numerous Parisian and international venues and has won several awards, including from the Lied Academy of Trossingen. In 2024, she will release her debut recording featuring early 20th-century French songs and a newly commissioned work by composer Arthur Lavandier. Upcoming engagements include her debut at the Opéra de Limoges as Micaëla in Carmen, a reprise of Chimène in Saint-Étienne, and a role in the creation of Hélène ou la voix disparue. Her voice—praised for its expressive richness, lyrical quality, and strong stage presence—continues to earn acclaim from both critics and audiences.
