In today’s news London’s Corinthia Hotel has announced that opera will be the theme of it’s fourth Artist in Residence programme, announcing the winner on 30 April. The Royal College of Music has announced plans for a £25 million business development that will create two new performance spaces, practice rooms and a new home for the Museum of Music. Also this week, Marin Alsop has renewed her contract with the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra and will remain as Music Director until 2019.
