Damian Iorio and MKCO announce 2018/19 season

Monday 30th July 2018

The 2018/19 season for the Milton Keynes City Orchestra has been announced today.

The fantastic programme includes performances from the likes of Sheku Kanneh-Mason, Stephen Hough and Craig Ogden, who will join the ensemble in Milton Keynes. The season kicks off in September with the MK Proms, featuring soprano Ellie Laugharne.

Musical Director Damian Iorio said: “MKCO has over 40 years of tradition and it is a great pleasure to present the new season which will include a broad range of works covering the string, chamber and symphonic orchestra repertoire. I also look forward to working with some fantastic soloists, including Sheku Kanneh-Mason, Stephen Hough and Federico Colli.”

The orchestra also welcomes its new leader, violinist Helena Wood, and also continues its collaboration with Yamaha, giving a concerto opportunity to the winner of their Music Foundation of Europe scholarship.
