Es war als Zeichen gegen Gewalt an Frauen gedacht: Regisseur Leo Muscato schrieb ein neues Finale für Bizets Opernklassiker “Carmen”, in dem die Protagonistin nicht ermordet wird, sondern ihren Ex-Liebhaber Don José mit einer Pistole erschießt. Bei der Premiere am Sonntag in der Oper Florenz gab es dafür einige Buh-Rufe.
