The Théâtre des Champs-Elysées presents Les Petites noces, a participatory version for a young audience of The Marriage of Figaro (Mozart), served by a young and talented vocal set.

It is now a tradition expected by young Parisian audiences: every season for the past three years, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées has been offering, with the Rouen Opera, a participatory production of reduced length and format, translated into French if necessary, in order to adapt to children. The opus chosen this year: Les Noces de Figaro. Director Gilles Rico, presents a contemporary Cherub, visiting a museum whose period statues come to life. The young man, who begins by observing them, ends up crossing the mirror to interact with the historical characters. This temporal confrontation allows comic effects like Les Visiteurs (Suzanne trying to eat the teenager’s mobile phone, whose usefulness she does not understand) and offers the young audience a character with their codes. The young audience is very reactive, to the point that laughter and exclamations sometimes cover the music. The final salutes even trigger an enthusiasm usually reserved for the arrival on stage of the rock stars acclaimed by their delirious fans.
