International Release of Daniel Hope’s ‘Spheres’

Friday 15th February 2013

Today, Daniel Hope’s new album Spheres is released internationally on Deutsche Grammophon. Spheres is an anthology of music inspired by the scientific concept of Musica Universalis: the idea of music created by planetary movement. The album unites canonical composers with popular contemporary composers, from Bach and Fauré to Arvo Pärt and Ludovico Einaudi.

Daniel Hope recently performed works from Spheres at World Museum in Liverpool. As the album has such potent scientific influences, the concert took place in the home of the UK’s only free planetarium. It was featured on the BBC here.

The Deutsche Grammophon release of Spheres is guaranteed to delight classical music enthusiasts as well as reaching a much wider audience. The UK release date is Monday 18th February. More information on Spheres can be found here.
