London’s Young Classical Artists Trust Announces 2021 Prize Winners
The 2021 Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) announced its 12 first prize winners. All twelve young artists will join the YCAT roster — granting a dedicated artist management team, extensive performing opportunities both nationally and internationally, debuts at some of the world’s most prestigious venues, professional publicity materials, and digital support.
Seven new artists were chosen out of 150 applicants in YCAT’s rigorous audition process. Five additional artists will be shared with Concert Artists Guild in New York, following the announcement of their partnership in 2019.

Fête de la musique maintained with masks and curfew
On Wednesday 9 June, a new chapter of the reopening plan will begin: the curfew will start at 11pm (instead of 9pm), the autorized capacity of venues will be increased from 35% to 65% – and the health pass will gradually be required for access to events gathering more than 1000 people. These new rules will also apply to the 39th Fête de la musique on 21 June.
In a press release, the Ministry of Culture reminded that “no derogation or tolerance is anticipated on the evening” of the event regarding the curfew or the obligation to use the health pass if more than 1000 spectators are expected.
