The London Schools Symphony Orchestra (LSSO) will celebrate its 70th anniversary with a programme featuring trumpeter Pacho Flores, who will perform the world premiere of Eleanor Alberga‘s trumpet concerto, which is based on Caribbean and Latin American folk legends.
Entitled Invocation, Alberga’s new concerto was commissioned by the LSSO following a recent collaboration with Pacho Flores.

Cette mesure figure dans un décret paru mardi au Journal officiel, qui abaisse à 50 personnes (contre 1.000 auparavant) la jauge dans les lieux soumis au pass sanitaire.
Ce dernier sera exigible dans les lieux de culture (cinémas, musées, théâtres…) à partir de mercredi. Et contrairement au public qui y accède, les salariés qui travaillent dans ces endroits devront garder le masque pour l’instant, a précisé le ministère du Travail.

The venue announced that everyone who enters the hall must show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 with a WHO-approved vaccine.
The announcement comes as similar organizations — like the Metropolitan Opera — have instituted similar requirements. The new rules come as COVID-19 cases are on the rise in many cities nationally, largely due to the highly transmissible Delta variant.
Carnegie Hall is continuing to examine “all aspects of the Carnegie Hall experience so that audiences, artists, visitors, staff, and volunteers are able to return with confidence,” according to the organization’s website.
