BACKMusic for Youth celebrates its upcoming 50th anniversary at this year’s MFY Proms
More than 2000 young performers will take to the stage at London’s Royal Albert Hall across two evenings (Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 November 2019) for the Music for Youth Proms, kicking off the charity’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
This year’s event will be presented by saxophonist and composer YolanDa Brown and will feature two massed ensembles, Newham Music and Lister Community School (12 November) and Norfolk Music Hub and Norwich Theatre Royal (13 November). The concerts will include performances from full scale orchestras alongside talented young solo artists, jazz bands, chamber groups, choirs and rock and urban bands.

Am 9. November jährt sich der Fall der Berliner Mauer zum 30. Mal. Für den Rundfunkchor Berlin mit seiner bewegten Ost-West-Geschichte ist das ein besonderer Grund zu feiern. Auf dem Programm des Jubiläumskonzerts in der Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche steht Anton Bruckners e-Moll-Messe für achtstimmigen Chor und Bläser unter der Leitung von Chefdirigent Gijs Leenaars, gemeinsam mit Bläsersolisten des Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchesters Berlin.Das kühne und originelle Werk wird in dieser Besetzung auch bei Pentatone auf CD erscheinen. Zudem erklingt in der Gedächtniskirche Mozarts berühmte Gran Partita« mit den Bläsern des RSB.

Lofft Leipzig gründet professionelle inklusive Tanzgruppe
Das Theater Lofft schafft in Leipzig eine professionelle Tanzgruppe für Menschen mit und ohne Behinderung. Es sei die erste dauerhaft in Sachsen arbeitende Gruppe dieser Art, teilte das Lofft am Dienstag mit.
Unterstützt werde das Pilotprojekt vom Sächsischen Kunstministerium. Zudem arbeite das Theater mit dem soziokulturellen Zentrum Villa in Leipzig zusammen. Für die Umsetzung müssten fehlende Strukturen aufgebaut und eine inklusive Arbeitskultur geschaffen werden, beispielsweise durch barrierefreie Räumlichkeiten. Die Tanzgruppe wolle bis 2021 mindestens zwei abendfüllende Produktionen entwickeln, hieß es.
Lofft Leipzig founds professional inclusive dance group
The Theater Lofft is creating a professional dance group in Leipzig for people with and without disabilities. It is the first group of this kind working permanently in Saxony, the Lofft announced on Tuesday.
The pilot project is supported by the Saxon Ministry of Art. In addition, the theatre cooperates with the socio-cultural centre Villa in Leipzig. For the implementation, missing structures have to be built up and an inclusive working culture created, for example through barrier-free spaces. The dance group wants to develop at least two feature-length productions by 2021, it was said.

Fondée en 1999, la FEVIS, fédération des ensembles vocaux et instrumentaux spécialisés, lance une saison anniversaire qui mêlera tables rondes de réflexion et concerts.
En 1999, neuf ensembles, parmi lesquels Les Arts Florissants, l’Orchestre des Champs-Elysées, les Talens Lyrique ou encore le chœur de chambre Accentus, fondaient la FEVIS. 20 ans plus tard, la fédération des ensembles vocaux et instrumentaux spécialisés rassemble 150 ensembles qui donnent plus de 4000 concerts par an.
« La révolution baroque est faite ! », peut-on lire dans un communiqué de la FEVIS qui annonce une saison spéciale pour ce 20e anniversaire; Elle a été lancée le 28 octobre 2019 au ministère de la Culture, en présence du ministre Franck Riester.
«Après 20 ans de productions de référence, de spectacles inventifs, de succès musicaux, de redécouvertes et de créations, il n’est plus nécessaire de réclamer une reconnaissance désormais acquise », indique le document de la fédération. Si ce 20e anniversaire est l’occasion pour cette dernière de dresser un bilan de son action, il marque également un nouveau temps de réflexion sur son avenir dans un « environnement global de la création en mutation ».

“The baroque revolution is over! “, says a FEVIS press release announcing a special season for this 20th anniversary; it was launched on 28 October 2019 at the Ministry of Culture, in the presence of Minister Franck Riester.
“After 20 years of reference productions, inventive shows, musical successes, rediscoveries and creations, it is no longer necessary to claim recognition now acquired,” the federation’s document states. While this 20th anniversary is an opportunity for the latter to take stock of its action, it also marks a new time for reflection on its future in a “global environment of changing creation”.
