The Oslo Philharmonic has extended by another four years its contract with its youthful Chief Conductor and Artistic Advisor, Klaus Mäkelä. As they prepare to enter their first season together, with the 24-year-old Mäkelä taking over from Vasily Petrenko, they can now look forward to seven seasons together.
A cellist as well as conductor, Mäkelä studied conducting at the Sibelius Academy with Jorma Panula and the cello with Marko Ylönen, Timo Hanhinen and Hannu Kiiski, As well as his position in Oslo, he is Principal Guest Conductor with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Artistic Director of the Turku Music Festival and Artist in Association with the Tapiola Sinfonietta.

Im sechsseitigen Konzept, das die Minister ans Kanzleramt und die Ministerpräsidenten geschickt haben, sprechen sie sich für eine “planvolle Öffnung” weiterer Einrichtungen aus. Für ihre Vorschläge berufen sich die Minister auf Konzepte der Branchen- und Berufsverbände, die “eine bundesweit möglichst einheitliche und transparente sowie sichere Handhabung” gewährleisteten. Voraussetzung für Lockerungen seien jeweils die lokale Entwicklung der Infektionszahlen.

Parallèlement, la ministre de la Culture Ulrike Lunacek a démissionné, alors que le secteur culturel juge les aides insuffisantes. Pas plus de 100 spectateurs dans un 1er temps puis 250 au 1er juillet et jusqu’à 1000 personnes au 1er août, avec des aménagements spécifiques dans les salles de spectacle, ce sont les mesures qui ont été décidées par le gouvernement autrichien dans le cadre d’une réouverture progressive des enceintes culturelles et artistiques.
