Leading by Example: Investing in the Next Generation Through Music

Wednesday 28th January 2026

This month, WildKat PR founder Kat Alder led by example — not just by talking about the power of music and culture, but by actively living it and sharing it with the next generation.

Those who know Kat know that her passion for classical music runs deep. Before founding WildKat PR, Kat worked across the international music landscape with El Sistema in Venezuela, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra in Berlin, TVT Europe, and Universal Music London. That background continues to shape her work today — not only through WildKat’s presence in the classical music sector, but through Kat’s personal commitment to nurturing curiosity, creativity, and cultural confidence in young people.

Speaking to the Future: Teign School, Devon
Earlier this month, Kat was invited as a speaker to Teign School in Devon, a vibrant and inclusive comprehensive that places student progress and opportunity at the heart of everything it does. With a strong belief in community outreach and partnerships beyond the classroom, Teign School proved a natural fit. Kat spent the morning speaking to 300 students, sharing her journey through music and communications, the importance of keeping classical music alive, and the many exciting, creative careers that exist around it.

For Kat, this kind of engagement is essential: “I don’t just talk about music, PR, or culture — I live it. And I believe strongly in passing that on. Inspiring the next generation to engage with classical music, creativity, and the arts isn’t optional; it’s vital.”

Music at Home: Passing It On Personally
In a separate and more personal moment this month, Kat also shared music in a different way — by playing a small, informal concert with her son. Music, for Kat, isn’t confined to concert halls, campaigns, or classrooms. It’s something to be lived, shared, and enjoyed together.

This combination — speaking to young people professionally and nurturing creativity at home — reflects how Kat sees the future: one where culture is accessible, inspiring, and actively handed down, not gatekept.

WildKat PR may work in a fast-moving digital world, but its foundations remain rooted in lived experience, community, and a belief in the power of culture to shape what comes next.
