Alan Yentob to host programme about the impact of COVID-19 on the performing arts industry

The BBC’s former creative director Alan Yentob will host an episode of imagine… next week in which he will explore the disastrous impact the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is having on the performing arts industry.

The programme will feature footage captured throughout the last year, showcasing the musicians and organisations thriving in the face of adversity, from the English National Opera’s drive-in opera to a new work inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement.

Sollen gegen das Coronavirus Geimpfte ihre Freiheiten früher zurückerhalten als noch nicht immunisierte Menschen? Private Veranstalter sollten aus Sicht des Ticketverkäufers CTS Eventim in Zukunft zumindest die Möglichkeit haben, nur geimpfte Menschen für Veranstaltungen zuzulassen.

CTS Eventim: Vaccination-only concerts should be possible in future

Going to a concert with a vaccination card? A ticket seller goes on the offensive. The question of how long and under what circumstances basic rights may remain restricted touches on legal and ethical aspects. The Ethics Council wants to present recommendations on this.

Should people vaccinated against the coronavirus get their freedoms back earlier than people who have not yet been immunised? From the point of view of the ticket seller CTS Eventim, private event organisers should at least have the option in future to only admit vaccinated people to events.

Michel Orier : “On a décidé de doubler le budget dédié aux commandes musicales à Radio France”

Alors que le Festival Présences 2021 bat son plein à La Maison de la Radio et de la Musique, le directeur de la musique et de la création à Radio France, s’exprime sur l’importance de soutenir la création musicale et les compositeurs, grâce à l’augmentation du budget alloué aux commandes.

Cela fait plus de 30 ans que le Festival Présences à Radio France est le rendez-vous incontournable de la musique d’aujourd’hui en France. La 31e édition qui vient de débuter le 2 février et qui se termine le 7 février, met à l’honneur le compositeur Pascal Dusapin. Les concerts sont évidemment sans public mais sont à retrouver sur France Musique.

Michel Orier: “We have decided to double the budget dedicated to music commissions at Radio France”

While the Présences 2021 Festival is in full swing at La Maison de la Radio et de la Musique, the Director of Music and Creation at Radio France, speaks about the importance of supporting musical creation and composers, thanks to the increase in the budget allocated to commissions.

For more than 30 years, the Présences à Radio France Festival has been the unmissable event for today’s music in France. The 31st edition, which just started on February 2nd and ends on February 7th, honours the composer Pascal Dusapin. The concerts are obviously without an audience but can be found on France Musique.
