2015 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Finnish composer Jean Sibelius (1865-1957)

This video takes us on a journey through the Finnish landscape which inspired his music. Erkki Korhonen talks of the “landscape which came to his mind when he composed Finlandia“ and “opened his soul.”

The video was made in co-production with the Sibelius 150th Anniversary and the London Philharmonia Orchestra.
