Elbphilharmonie bleibt bis Ende Juni geschlossen

In ganz kleinen Schritten will Hamburg seine Kulturszene wieder öffnen.

Elbphilharmonie will remain closed until the end of June

In very small steps Hamburg wants to reopen its cultural scene. The theatre, opera and Elbphilharmonie are to remain closed until 30 June, but the bookstores will open their doors for that purpose, Carsten Brosda, Senator for Culture and Media (SPD), told NDR radio.
The Elbphilharmonie will further expand its digital offer “#ElphiAtHome” in the coming weeks and months. “We are also pleased that, together with strong partners, we have created the “Elbphilharmonie Hilfsfonds” (Elbe Philharmonic Aid Fund), a platform that will help to at least somewhat ease the worst consequences for freelance musicians of the dramatic loss of earnings caused by all the concert cancellations,” it was said.
